Mission Statement
Sonic Chimera Recordings mission is to build a record company utilizing local and regional talent that concentrates its initial efforts of record sales in the Bay Area and the surrounding regions from Northern California to Southern California. Sonic Chimera Recordings will concentrate it’s marketing and promotion efforts to support and develop recording artists to increase sales within the local regions where the performing artists live. Sonic Chimera Recordings will utilize the artist’s mixtapes, Podcasts, branded Social Network forums and live performances in the region as the foundation for its promotion and marketing efforts so as to increase sales at the shows and within the retail stores.
Company history
The original creative team that founded Dubwoofer have pooled their resources to create Sonic Chimera Recordings. Vincent Moore is the label founder, an artist manager, record producer and artist. Eric Smith and Andre Jones are A&R reps, recording artists and producers, and they have been instrumental in helping to develop the music industry in the city of San Francisco and the greater Bay Area in various ways over the years. Throughout the last 20 years, as a collaborative team they have been involved in different aspects of the music business in “TheCity” of San Francisco where they have observed the different directions the industry has taken. The Bay Area is a region that can sustain and support different businesses within the Music Industry. They realize that the time is right to utilize the resources available and direct those efforts towards developing artists though the production and sale of records.
The label has teamed up with Def Pacific Communications based in SF Founded by Noelle Tiare Guerrero. This collaboration aims to create a visionary Music Movement - "The Bay's Finest".
Noelle Tiare aka “Noey G” is a 24 year veteran music professional born and raised in San Francisco. A proud SF Bay Native, she is a savvy business entrepreneur and a working label partner at San Francisco based Pacific Soul Records / PSRMG [BIO] where she is a record producer and oversees A&R and promotion alongside very talented music producer - writer - musician and Founder of Pacific Soul Records Ray “Xraydusa”. Her background of nightclub/DJ management, Major label, radio promotion, music publishing, production and tech experience will keep SCR on top of it’s game in our beloved Bay Area. Noelle has excellent artist development, management, producer and promo/PR skills; she is a down to earth consummate professional always keeping up with new Industry trends - EPKs, Cyber PR, Digital Services and other innovative ways to stay on top of the game.
The promotion and marketing of the Sonic Chimera label will concentrate on the urban music and lifestyle publications, College, Urban and Public, Commercial radio markets, guerrilla marketing of mixtapes, Social Networks and Podcasts, as well as consignment arrangements with local small record stores and online retailers - this includes reaching out to other music markets in different Regions as the promotional efforts increase.
Sonic Chimera Recordings and Def Pacific believe that it is important to create synergism within our music community by building an industry infrastructure in the city of San Francisco and the greater Bay Area, including expanding our efforts to other parts of California, the United States, Europe, Asia, Middle East. In order for there to be a successful Music Industry in The City of San Francisco-Bay Area, artists need to unify and build together...it all needs to start right here first, the music empire WE envision and then make its way to music lovers all over the World.
We encourage the philosophy of Empowerment, to listen and respond to our artists. Networking with people, receiving and sharing a wealth a knowledge and our quest to produce ‘hot records’ is a very passionate collaboration. Our success will be credited to our well orchestrated efforts to share our talent pool, knowledge and resources with all aspiring fellow artists and business professionals alike.
